Rotarians Give Livermore Students the Gift of Reading
As part of their 2022 Literacy Project, Livermore Rotarians gave over 1,900 new hardcover books to all third and fourth graders in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District. Each student was able to select a favorite from among four choices curated by a committee of community members including teachers, administrators and library specialists. Five LVJUSD Students Named National Merit Scholarship Finalists
Five students from the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) have been named as finalists for a National Merit Scholarship. Out of the approximately 1.5 million high school juniors who take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) each year, only the top 1% qualify as semi-finalists who then go on to compete for finalist titles their senior year. LVJUSD Framework for Success
The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) - a comprehensive framework that aligns academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning - to meet the needs of all students in our district. Under the umbrella of the LVJUSD framework, the three components that address students’ needs are Academics, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

Choose Love
All students in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District are participating in the Choose Love social emotional learning curriculum during the 2018-19 school year. Students learn the Choose Love Formula: Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion in Action = Choosing Love Formula.

Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is an award-winning district that serves more than 13,900 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade at nine elementary campuses, two K-8 schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, and two alternative schools. Livermore Schools offer specialized progams including International Baccalaureate Programmes, Green Engineering Academy, Dual Immersion Program and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) pathways.
