    Dear LVJUSD Families,

As you plan for your Spring Break the week of April 5 - 9, we encourage you to stay local and enjoy Livermore and Alameda County parks and recreation. The Alameda County Public Health Department (ACPHD) continues to recommend against non-essential travel. If people do choose to travel, ACPHD has established guidelines to decrease the risk of transmission within the school and greater community:

    • Stay home for 7 days after returning from travel within California that is greater than 120 miles from home.
      • Consider getting tested for COVID-19 3 - 7 days after returning from travel.
        • If you test negative, still stay home for the full 7 days after you return.
        • If you test positive, isolate yourself to protect others from infection.
    • Stay home for 10 days if you travel out of state or to another country.
      • Consider getting tested for COVID-19 3 - 7 days after returning from travel.
      • If you do not get tested, stay home for 10 days after returning from travel.
      • If you test positive, isolate yourself to protect others from infection.
    • If you must leave your home during your quarantine period, keep at least 6 feet away from others and make extra sure that you are always wearing a face mask.

If your family decides to travel, students attending school in person have the option of temporarily participating in distance learning. Please contact your school to make arrangements if you choose to follow these recommendations.

Isolation and quarantine instructions can be found here: Isolation & Quarantine | COVID-19 | Alameda County Public Health. Refer to the California Department of Public Health Travel Advisory for more information:  CDPH Travel Advisory.

We are looking forward to enjoying good health and keeping our schools open!
