    Dear Parent/Guardian and Student, 


    I hope you are doing well and staying safe during this difficult time.  As we prepare for the 2020-2021 school year I wanted to first welcome you back and share some updates with you about this upcoming school year.  The district has created and shared a 2020-2021 School Year Handbook with you via email and it is on our web page  Please take a moment to review it.  


    This year's distance learning experience will be much different from last year.  Students are expected to log in each day in the afternoon for three class periods that are 45 minutes long.  Students will also have the option to virtually meet with teachers in the mornings to ask questions or get assistance on classwork. You can find our  Distance Learning schedule on our website.  More information about how to log into Schoology for classes will be forthcoming from the district.  


    Communication is extremely important for your child's success.  Many of our communications will be sent out over email, phone calls, and text messages.  Please make sure our school has your correct contact information.  The district will send an email to you so you can update your contact information.  We also post information on our web page and Facebook


    This year we are implementing an Advisory period for all students.  The period is called the PACK period.   Students will be assigned to a specific teacher and they will meet weekly.  This period is designed for teachers to check in with students on their academic progress, social-emotional growth, and deliver content.  Students will be able to earn elective credits for participating and work completion in the class.  


    For the first time, students will be able to apply for their free transit pass online.  The application is available on the Alameda CTC website, under the “Student Apply Here” tab: 


    You will also need to complete the application for our district meal program for students.  Meals will be available for students at different locations throughout Livermore.    

    Child Nutrition Services / Welcome

    Some important Dates and items for the start of the 2020-2021 school year.

    • Chromebook distribution August 17th-19th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Del Valle High School.  
    • New student orientation on August 18th.  A video will be sent to new students via email and it will be published to our webpage.  Once you have watched the orientation video please contact us by phone (925) 606-4709 to set up an appointment to complete the intake process so we can schedule your student.  
    • School begins on August 25th.
