November 16, 2020

  • Dear Livermore Families,

Today we received written confirmation from the Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) and the Alameda County Public Health Department (ACPHD) that our PreK-12 Reopening Plan and Signed Reopening Checklist are complete and satisfy all requirements. We are one of four unified districts in Alameda County to submit a Reopening Plan (along with Alameda Unified, Piedmont Unified, and Pleasanton Unified) and one of only two unified districts in Alameda County (along with Piedmont Unified) to submit a combination K-12 plan.

As you may have heard, later today we were officially informed that Alameda County is being reclassified in the Purple Tier as of November 18th, due to current concerning COVID-19 metrics. We are awaiting additional guidance from ACOE and ACPHD as to how that categorization may affect our in-school teaching and learning plans and timeline.

Please see attached press release from ACPHD.

For elementary families who have not yet completed the survey, please do so this evening. Your input is important as we plan for hybrid learning and/or distance learning plus support hubs.

    Thank you,

    LVJUSD Leadership
