LVJUSD Seeking Applicants for Parcel Tax Oversight Committee

September 29, 2020 - Livermore, CA - The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) invites Livermore community members to serve on the Parcel Tax Citizens' Oversight Committee. Applications for four open positions are available on the LVJUSD website and should be received by Friday, October 23, 2020.

Committee members serve a two-year term. The committee usually convenes monthly, from January through May, on dates agreed on by the members. In addition, the committee prepares an annual report that it presents to the Board of Education by the end of June.

Livermore voters approved Measure G in June 2014, which provided for continued support of critical educational programs in the LVJUSD. Specific in the ballot language of the parcel tax measure is the formation of an independent citizens' oversight committee to perform annual reviews.

More information about the Parcel Tax Citizens' Oversight Committee is available on the District’s web page: www.livermoreschools.org/parceltax, or by contacting Susan Kinder, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, parceltax@lvjusd.org, (925) 606-3255. Applications may be emailed or turned in at the LVJUSD District Office, 685 East Jack London Blvd, Livermore, 94551 to the attention of Susan Kinder.
