Welcome to Advanced Art! Students will be introduced to art styles, techniques and terms relating to art. They will demonstrate learning through their art projects, writing and discussions. My goal is to give students the tools and structure to express themselves visually. With thoughtful planning considering Principles of Art and Elements of Design, students will create sophisticated art pieces. 

Exposure to art education promotes self-directed learning, improves school attendance and sharpens critical and creative skills. Additionally, research has shown that what students learn in the arts may help them to master other subjects, such as reading, math or social studies.
