Weekly Bulletin

  • Januray 23, 2019

    • READY students, please remember to turn in your permission slips for the READY field trip to Ms. Valenzuela by tomorrow.  The field trip is this Saturday. Thank you!
    • Calling all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Wrestlers!  The first Wrestling practice is TODAY at 5:00 in the gym.
    • The Running Club will start next Wednesday, January 30th, at 8:00 on the track.  It will meet every Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8:00-8:15. It’s a great time to have fun while getting fit with your friends.  Earn “feet” for every mile you complete! All grades are welcome!
    • Players are still needed for the Boys Volleyball team.  See Mr. Duke if you have any questions!
    • This Friday is a noontime activity; Foodfest! (babyfood challenge, eating cereal with chopsticks and bean boozled challenge)
    • The next middle school dance is February 15th.
    • Attention all students who have first lunch:   Every Monday for the rest of the year Mrs. Bunce will have Mindfulness Monday's in the computer lab next to the library. All are welcome! Come learn some muscle and body relaxation skills. We will do guided Mindfulness lessons each week. See you there!
    • GSA, the Gender Spectrum Alliance, always meet on Mondays during 4b lunch in room 17.
    • Chess Club meets every Wednesday during both lunches in room 7.  Know how to play? Great! Don’t know how to play? We can teach you.  All are welcome.
    • Every Friday is purple day!
    • Remember…… BE A BULLDOG.  This stands for BE RESPONSIBLE, BE RESPECTFUL, and BE SAFE!

  • Starting Monday, October 8, 2018, all after school detentions in room 3 with Mrs. Rajczyk will last for 45 minutes instead of thirty minutes.  This means office assigned after school detentions will be from 2:35 to 3:20, except on early release days.  On early release day’s you must report to detention from 1:35-2:20.

  • Middle school students at Junction Avenue K-8 School will be required to wear their IDs on lanyards at all times with the excpetion of PE.  IDs and lanyards will be provided to students today, September 17th.  If IDs and lanyards are lost, they must be immediatley replaced and purchased int he office for $5.00.

  • LVJUSD Framework for Success

    The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) - a comprehensive framework that aligns academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning - to meet the needs of all students in our district. Under the umbrella of the LVJUSD framework, the three components that address students’ needs are Academics, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

    All students in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District are participating in the Choose Love social emotional learning curriculum during the 2018-19 school year. Students learn the Choose Love Formula: Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion in Action = Choosing Love Formula.
