Mexican Folklórico classes are open to all students Kinder to 8th grade.
Practices are on Thursdays in the exercise room at Junction.
K - 3rd grade: 5 - 6pm.
4th - 8th grade: 6-7pm.
Monthly suggested donation of $20 per month to cover cost of costumes and other expenses.

It is important that students arrive on time and do not miss practices so that the whole group can work together to improve. Participating in performances is also very important for the quality of the presentation. Parents, please also pick up your children on time.

The same expectations for school apply to dance class:
- Show the teacher and all adults respect.
- Take care of the practice space and follow the rules.
- Arrive on time with all your materials.
- Know that at performances you represent Junction school and our community so we expect excellent behavior.
We count on each family to help with fundraising for the folkdance group. You can help with the preparation, sale of food and/or donate the ingredients or money. It is essential that all parents volunteer in our annual “kermes”
Parents are asked to please supervise their younger children during practices.
Supplies needed for practice:
Boys: P.E./ Exercise clothes, water, tennis shoes and dance boots
Girls: P.E./Exercise clothes, water, tennis shoes, dance shoes and practice skirt
Supplies for performances (depends on dances to be performed):
Boys: black and/or white dance boots. Black pants, white pants. White shirt
Girls: black and/or white dance boots or shoes. White shorts (bloomers) & white camisole /tank top. Hair accessories consist of small braid, bun cover and large bobby pins. Make up details will be discussed individually at a later time.
