  • No Fuss Fundraiser In Progress Now

    EAMS Boosters has kicked off the 2020 No Fuss Fundraiser which will continue through December 4th. As of November 18th, the fundraiser was at 30% of the goal! All donations are tax deductible, go directly to support East Avenue Middle School teachers and students, and give you the opportunity to support the school once a year with family and friends to help support the effort. Not to mention, you can win prizes simply by spreading the word and/or donating. Additionally, some employers (such as LLNL) offer matching funds for contributions.   • Boosters Update

    Join the East Avenue Community through EAMS Boosters. Benefits include community connection, live monthly updates from Mr. Hansen and insight from teacher representatives. As a member, you can be a part of shaping how we boost our school community. Join us via Zoom from the comfort of your home to learn how you can help boost our children, teachers and staff.   • Thanksgiving Break Week of November 23rd

    School will be closed from Monday, November 23rd through Friday, November 27 for Thanksgiving break. We will return on Monday, November 30th which will be the start of second trimester. The office will be closed the entire week. Enjoy your break and Thanksgiving.

  • East Avenue's Student News Show "Splash" Makes its Debut

    During Homeroom on Wednesday, our News Program “Splash” made its debut. Splash was the result of hard work on the part of the News Club and will be having additional programs in the future.   • Morning Support Sessions Canceled for Monday (November 30th) and Tuesday (December 1st)

    Morning Support Sessions Canceled for Monday (November 30th) and Tuesday (December 1st) To ensure that teachers can complete grading from trimester one and prepare lessons and units for trimester two, we will not be holding morning support sessions on the first two days of trimester two (the first two days after Thanksgiving - Monday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 1.

  • Construction Update

    The new classroom building project at East Avenue is moving forward well. Key activities currently being completed are the rooftop HVAC units, and installation is beginning for interior finishes and casework. Bathroom tile and epoxy flooring have also been installed. Plumbing and fixtures will be starting soon. The project is on schedule.

  • Free Breakfast and Lunch for all Youth

    Great News! We have resumed offering FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH for all 18 and under youth through the end of 2020, thanks to a USDA waiver. Meals will be served in front of our school Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM- 12:30 PM.

    The District Community Engagement Department has provided Schoology information for our East Avenue Families. Students should log in to Schoology each school day according to the Distance Learning Schedule above.   • Library Book Curbside Pickup

    The East Avenue Library now offers curbside pickup. You can go to our website to reserve a book. When it is available, our librarian will send an email and you can pick up your book in the office foyer. For more information , please click on the title.

  • Livermore Library Offers Free Online Tutoring

    The Livermore Public Library is now offering a FREE on demand tutoring service through Tutor.com. Find more information about this amazing service on their website: www.livermorelibrary.net. As a reminder, all LVJUSD students grades 6-12 have their own library card - it’s their Student ID card. Their ID number is their library card number, and they have access to all digital library resources! For more information and access to a downloadable flyer, please click on the title.

  • Alameda County Student Transit Pass Program Information

    All students at East Avenue ae eligible to get a FREE Youth Clipper card that provides unlimited free rides on AC Transit. Students can add cash value to the Clipper card for 50% off BART fares and youth discounts on other transit systems that use Clipper. For more information and a link to the online application, please click on the title. Please note that if you received a Student Transit Pass Clipper card during the 2019-2020 school year, you do not need to submit a new application. You can continue to use your existing card. If your Clipper card has been misplaced, please contact the STPP administrator (Mrs. Summers) at csummers@lvjusd.org to request a replacement card.

    All students in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District are participating in the Choose Love social emotional learning curriculum during the 2018-19 school year. Students learn the Choose Love Formula: Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion in Action = Choosing Love Formula.
