Weekly Bulletin for September

  • September 25, 2019.

    • READY students, we have a field trip this Saturday.  Please complete all the parent permission slips, including the medical form, and return them to Ms. Valenzuela by Thursday (tomorrow) if you plan on going.  Thank you!
    • Today is a 6th grade home basketball game.  The game starts at 3:45. Tomorrow there will be 7th and 8th grade home games.  The 8th graders play at 3:30 and the 7th grade plays at 4:45. Come on out to the gym and cheer on our teams!
    • Our first middle school dance of the year will be on Friday, October 11, from 7:00-9:00.  Dance tickets will be sold at both lunches the week of the dance. The theme is Glow in the Dark.  We will have glow in the dark bowling, corn hole, face painting and a photo booth. Come to the dance and have FUN!
    • 4A and 4B Chess Club is in room 7.  All are welcome! 
    • Math Counts is every Wednesday from 1:45 to 2:45 in Room 27. Hope to see you there!
    • Every Friday is purple Friday!  Remember to show your spirit and wear purple!

    • Spirit Week continues!  Today is Sports Day, tomorrow is Pajama Day and Friday is Spirit Day or Purple Day.
    • Reminder:  Please turn in your cookie dough orders to your teachers today.  Middle school students - you can give your orders to any of your teachers.
    • Tomorrow we have two home basketball games.  The 8th graders are playing Mendenhall at 3:30 and the 7th graders are playing Joe Michell at 4:45.  Come out to the gym and cheer them on.
    • CODING CLUB IS BACK!  Girls who code is a program for all middle school students that teaching coding skills and helps to spark interest in careers in computer science.  In this club you will learn to code, build an app and/or create a game. It is a free club held on Mondays after school in room 21. To sign up, ask your science teacher for a flier.  Registration goes through Friday. So sign up now.
    • TUPE (Tobacco Use Prevention Education) club will meet during 4B lunch on Thursday in room 21.
    • Color Guard practice is every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm in the MPR.  Anyone who is interested should see Mrs.George. She can be contacted through the office.
    • Friendship Club is back at Junction!  Any TK-5th grade student who would like to play in the Kid Connection room with other friends before school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, meet Miss Kitty outside the main office at 8 am SHARP.  No parent permission form needed, just a positive attitude and a willingness to make friends!
    • The Running Club will begin next Monday, September 23rd!  Come on out to the field from 8:00-8:15AM every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.  Bring your friends and earn “feet” for every mile you run.
    • 4A and 4B Chess Club is in room 7.  All are welcome! 
    • Math Counts is every Wednesday from 1:45 to 2:45 in Room 27. Hope to see you there!

    • Today is a 6th grade boys basketball game at Junction starting at 3:45.  They will play against East Avenue. Come on over to the gym and support the team!
    • ALL TUPE PEER EDUCATORS - please meet in room 21 at lunch today for a very quick , important meeting.
    • Next week is spirit week:
      • Monday - Disney Day
      • Tuesday - Twin Day
      • Wednesday - Sports Day
      • Thursday - Pajama Day
      • Friday - Spirit Day (Junction or PurpleClothing)
      • We want to see everyone participate!!

    • Please remember that cell phones are only allowed to be used in the front of the school unless your teacher has given you permission to use it for an academic purpose.  Once you pass the gates, all cell phones need to be off and in your pocket or backpack.     • At the end of the day, all middle school students need to go to the front of the school to either wait for their ride or their younger sibling.  Middle school students are not allowed to wait within the campus for their siblings.
    • The Running Club will begin September 23rd!  Come on out to the field from 8:00-8:15AM every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.  Bring your friends and earn “feet” for every mile you run.
    • Chess Club is in room 7 for both 4a and 4b lunches.
    • Do you like math?  Come to Math Counts! This starts next Wednesday, Sept. 18th. It is held in Room 27 from 1:45 to 2:45. Your math teacher will be passing out a flier with all of the details! Hope to see you there!
    • Bulldogs - please, please, for your own safety and the safety of others - follow the instructions of the crossing guard!  Even if you think it’s clear to cross, don’t do it unless the crossing guard signals for you to cross.

    • This morning is the Cookie Dough Fundraiser Assembly!
