William Mendenhall Middle School

This is the first part of Spanish 1.  This year, you will learn the basics included in the first three units of the Senderos, VHL textbook! 

By the end of the year, you will know how to introduce yourself and greet and say goodbye in a variety of ways.  You will learn vocabulary for the school setting.  You will know vocabulary to identify your family members.  You will learn how to use common adjectives to describe them and yourself.  You will learn how to conjugate simple present tense verbs.  You will be able to ask and answer simple questions using positional prepositions and adverbs.  You will know how to use numbers to tell time and the date.  You will have fun learning a new language through collaboration and independent work, as well as teacher-directed lessons which may include songs and dance!
