Practice times are 2 to 3pm. Please text me if your runner is not going to be able to make it to practice. Also, reach out to me to explain how your runner is leaving practice safely. I wait with runners at the end of practice just in case there is a change of plans.Runners should wear running shoes and be dressed appropriately for running. They should also have their own water bottle. Please double check that your runner is prepared the day of practice--I have had students forget and show up in jeans!MeetsMeets are held on the following days:East Avenue Middle School: Wednesday May 5thMendenhall Middle School: Wednesday May 19thEast Avenue Middle School: Wednesday May 26thAll meets begin at 3:30 for 6th grade girls. Showing up late could mean missing your race! The meets typically end between 5:30 and 6pm.We will need parents to volunteer to bring fresh fruit and a small snack for our team after the race is over. Please let me know if your runner has any food allergies so that we can avoid allergens. Water should also be brought to the meet as well. If you would like to choose a date to bring something--please let me know!During the meet families are allowed to bring two total spectators.Golf-Practices will be on Monday and Wednesday 4/26(THIS WEEK ONLY) 3:30-4:50pm at Tri-Valley Driving Range. Then practices will be moved to Mondays and Thursdays for 4 weeks. If a parent is not aware of the practice details they should contact Nathan or Merry before they attend practice. This coming week practices will be on Monday and Wednesday 3:30 to 4:50 at the Tri-Valley Driving Range near Crosswinds Church off of 580. Then for the 4 weeks in May practices will be on Mondays and Thursdays at 3:30 to 4:50 with a match either on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday afternoon at Las Positas Golf Course. (High school girls and boys seasons have all of the other courses in the area) The final schedule is being completed by the coordinator at this time and we should have more information soon.We look forward to seeing all of you. Please email me if you have clubs for your child already and bring them tomorrow along with water. Due to Covid, the course will not allow sharing of clubs. The school and district will be paying the fees for the matches and practice balls. Also, students and spectators will be asked to wear a mask to the range and course. I believe the students are allowed to take their mask off while playing but I need to verify that information. Thank you for your support. We are here to have fun, learn new things, be risk-takers, and bring back a little normalcy to our lives. Normally the middle school golf season begins in early March at the same time that girls volleyball begins. If you have any questions I am including my email and Coach Nathan's email addresses.
All students participating in sports must have and maintain a 2.0 GPA and have completed the district physical card PRIOR to trying out for and participating in the sports. Physical cards may be obtained from the office or accessed below.
Physcials are good for ONE YEAR.
We are NOT asking for Donations this year (2020/2021)
Due to Covid, parental support will not take place for car pooling. Each parent is responsible for their own child.
