Dear Livermore High School Families,
It’s been an exciting start to the school year, and I’m thrilled to share some of the highlights from our community.
Our first pep rally on August 23 was a huge success! Students had a fantastic time getting into the spirit for our fall sports season. Cheer and dance teams put on incredible performances that truly energized the crowd.

First Flag Football Game - September 3
Our flag football team will play their first game at Monte Vista. Let's show them our support as they kick off their season. -
First Home Football Game - September 6
We are looking forward to our first home football game against Castro Valley, where we will also be paying tribute to Coach Baswell. This will be a special night for our community. -
First Responders Football Game - September 13
We are proud to host a special game honoring our first responders. All our fall varsity sports teams will be wearing special edition red, white, and blue jerseys throughout that week to recognize the dedication and sacrifice of these heroes.

Girls Varsity Water Polo Victory
Congratulations to our Girls Varsity Water Polo team for their outstanding win against Alameda on August 27, with a final score of 14-7! They also competed in a tournament this past weekend and represented us well.

Softball Stadium Construction
Construction of our new softball stadium is well underway. We are eagerly anticipating its completion in time for the spring season. The new facility will be a fantastic asset to our school and sports programs. -
Back to School Night Success
Thank you to everyone who attended our Back to School Night! It was wonderful to see so many parents engaging with their students’ teachers. This year, families had the chance to meet all of the teachers their students will have throughout the year, which I believe will strengthen our communication and support systems. -
William’s Audit Passed with Flying Colors
I am proud to announce that we passed our William’s audit with zero insufficiencies! This means that all students have the materials they need for their classes, ensuring a successful academic year ahead.

Community Service Day - September 7
We’re excited for our upcoming Community Service Day, where local citizens will come together to help beautify our campus. Projects will be focused on making our school an even better place for learning and growth. -
Senior Picnic - September 16
Seniors, get ready for a fun-filled day at Great Wolf Lodge for our annual Senior Picnic! It’s sure to be a memorable event as our seniors celebrate their final year at Livermore High.

Congratulations to GEA Juniors!
A big congratulations to Anthony Edwards and Greta Fick-Furlotte, two of our GEA Juniors, for receiving the Engineers Alliance for the Arts (EAA) $1,000 Scholarship! We are so proud of their hard work and dedication.
Registration for AP testing:
Starting September 3, 2024, students can begin registering for AP exams. Registration is a 2-part process:

First, students need to join their course section in AP Classroom, using a “join code” provided by their teacher. This step should have already been facilitated and completed with the assistance of the teacher. If not, click here for instructions on how to “join” a course.
Second, students need to purchase AP exams through the TotalRegistration website.

Youth Suicide Prevention (Sept 24, 7 - 8pm in English AND offered IN-PERSON at Junction Ave on Sept 24, from 8:45am-9:45am in Spanish, facilitated by Crisis Support Services of Alameda County) This presentation is geared towards parents of secondary students.
September 30: Dr. Blake Brandes' Assembly
Dr. Blake Brandes' assembly is an inspiring and dynamic presentation that connects with students on a personal level. Through engaging stories and interactive elements, he motivates students to embrace a growth mindset, build self-confidence, and overcome challenges. His energetic approach leaves students feeling empowered to pursue their passions, believe in themselves, and tackle any obstacles with resilience.
