• On-Campus Help


    GHS Study Lab is open to all students in the Student Union from 2:10-3:10 p.m. (M,T,Th,F) and 2:35-3:10 p.m. (W).  This is an opportunity for students to work independently on their school work and/or work with a staff member.  The staff who will oversee this have experience in working with all subject areas, especially in the areas of Math, Science, and Spanish.  GHS staff strongly encourage students to utilize this program as one of the resources available to them at our school. 

    Academic Support and Enrichment (A.S.E.) is a time for students to get extra help from their teachers.  ASE is held most Wednesdays from 2:00-2:25 p.m. You don’t have to be assigned to ASE to attend.

    Math

    If you need extra help in Math, the Granada Mathematics Department offers Office Hours during lunch and after school. Students can get help from any math teacher listed on the schedule.  Follow this link for the current Office Hours schedule.

    Science

    Chemistry Club offers peer tutoring help for Chemistry during lunch. *Details for 24-25 school year TBD.

    Foreign Language

    AP Spanish students & Spanish Club members are available for peer tutoring help for Spanish every Tuesday at lunch in P-9 (Gracia) or P-10 (Maerzluft).  Meeting locations alternate each week, so visit P-9 or P-10 to find the meeting location.

    General Help

    Free homework help is offered to students of all ages by adult volunteers at the Rincon Library Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The program will run through May 15, excluding school holidays and breaks.  The Homework Help space is equipped with a computer and students may print in color or black and white free of charge for all school assignments.  The library will also provide pencils, pens, paper, highlighters, markers, calculators, rulers, glue, flash cards, and resource books.  For more information, call the Rincon Branch Library, 925-373-5540, or go to library.livermoreca.gov.

    The Livermore Library is offering free virtual tutoring through Tutor.com.  Students can use their Livermore Library Card # or district student ID # to access Tutor.com.  Follow this link to get started.

    If you would like free in person, or virtual math tutoring from college faculty and students, consider signing up for the Las Positas Free High School Tutoring Program. This program offers help for all levels of mathematics, including calculus and SAT/ACT preparation.  Tutoring is held Monday-Thursday during the afternoon and evening.
