  • Summer Learning Keeps Students Engaged

    LVJUSD's first virutal summer school program provided unique classroom experiences for over 700 students with rigor, fun, and innovative approaches to learning.

  • Fall Sports Postponed

    The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) determined that education-based athletics for the 2020-21 school year will begin with a modified season starting in either December 2020 or January 2021. Click above to learn more and for a link to the July 20, 2020 CIF press release.

  • LVJUSD to Start the 2020-21 School Year with Distance Learning

    Based on metrics and guidance from the State, LVJUSD will begin the 2020-21 school year on August 25th with distance learning for all students. We will continue to develop our plans for transitioning to in-person instruction so that we are prepared for when public health data meets the criteria for options beyond distance learning.

  • LVJUSD Framework for Success

    The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) - a comprehensive framework that aligns academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning - to meet the needs of all students in our district. Under the umbrella of the LVJUSD framework, the three components that address students’ needs are Academics, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

  • Choose Love

    All students in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District are participating in the Choose Love social emotional learning curriculum during the 2018-19 school year. Students learn the Choose Love Formula: Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion in Action = Choosing Love Formula.

    Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is an award-winning district that serves more than 13,900 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade at nine elementary campuses, two K-8 schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, and two alternative schools. Livermore Schools offer specialized progams including International Baccalaureate Programmes, Green Engineering Academy, Dual Immersion Program and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) pathways.
