Notice to Contractors and Subcontractors
Any contractor or subcontractor listed on a bid proposal for a District project must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.

Contractor Prequalification
Notice is hereby given that the governing board (“Board”) of the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (“District”) has determined that all bidders for District projects over $200,000 must be prequalified prior to submitting a bid.
Contractors may start the prequalification process by completing information on the PQBids website. Specific guidelines and information:

California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA)
Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District is subject to CUPCCAA. This means:
- Formal bidding is not necessary on public works projects up to $60,000. They can be performed by negotiated contract or purchase order
- Public works projects between $60,000 and $200,000 may be let to contract by informal bidding procedures specified in CUPCCAA
- Prequalification for projects up to $200,000 is not necessary
- The District will establish a list of contractors to be notified of potential projects and procedures for informal bidding
