Michelle Pechette

With over sixteen years of experience in both elementary and secondary education, Michelle has been a teacher, elementary and middle school principal, and district-level director for early childhood education prior to her most recent role as the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services for the Amador County Unified School District and the Amador County Office of Education. Among her many responsibilities in her educational services role, she was responsible for developing and implementing district wide educational programs; creating and leading the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) which provides additional support for underserved students; and overseeing professional development of certificated staff.

Michelle is a proud mother of four adult children, one of whom has followed in her educational footsteps as a secondary math teacher.

Division Responsibilities

  • The Educational Services Division is responsible for all aspects of the District's curriculum, instruction, assessment, and technology programs, as well as for professional development of administrators, teachers, and classified personnel. The assistant superintendent works with our schools and community representatives to plan and implement our Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). He oversees the Single Plans for Student Achievement that provide the framework for each school's annual goals and achievements.
